PERMANENT PLACEMENT: EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF

Position Overview:

Seeking a skilled Executive Sous Chef for permanent placement at an established Alabama hotel. Must have high volume restaurant and catering experience and mid volume production experience. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong leadership and mentoring skills, and a proven track record of running clean, efficient kitchens. As the Executive Sous Chef, you will be hands-on in all aspects of kitchen operations. This position requires high season weekends and holiday work and comes with a great deal of responsibility, but offers the potential for the right fit to grow and shine in a strong resume building role with a 2 year advancement path.

 

Responsibilities:

• Weekly hours 34-40 (low season) / 45-55 (high season), including weekends and holidays as needed

• Hands-on in all aspects of the kitchen: food ordering, costing, prep, inventory management, line cook, dishwashing

• Lead, guide, coach & encourage the team

 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef

• "Can do" and "failure is not an option" attitude

• High-volume experience

• Opening experience

• ServSafe certified

• Proven record of achieving positive health inspections

• Leadership/Team management + ability to train and mentor team(s)

• Strong computer processing skills

• Costing and organizational skills

• Time management skills
